| John Thain’s Departure Isn’t About Lampshades and Rugs, But Leadership and Responsible Decision Making: America’s Everyday Ethics Guy to FOX Business TV |
Ex-Merrill Lynch CEO Resigns after $1.2 M in office decorating and bad decisions
Naples, FL – Speaking today on FOX Business TV's Money in the Morning with Alexis Glick, Vince Crew, America's Everyday Ethics Guy, speaks out on the blatant disconnect between corporate leader and everyone else's world. "Clearly he saw justification for spending money on lavish furnishings for his comfort just weeks before issuing pink slips for employees during the Bank of America merger last year, but very few others could."
"His blatant disregard for the prudent stewardship of funds, especially with a company in turmoil isn't criminal, but it's certainly unethical. This is why taxpayers are outraged over Washington's bailout mentality. Giving more money to people who spend it foolishly is flawed thinking, Crew went on to say."
Crew is the author of, "Everyday Ethics, Everlasting Consequences" (available at www.REACHdevelopment.com) addresses ways leaders can resist the pressures and temptations of bad decisions.
Crew said, "Call it an economic meltdown, an employment downturn, it's all the result of an ethics meltdown where different people are operating by different rules and there are no consequences."
"Now the next shoe to fall will no doubt be an outrageous multi-million dollar severance package." |
