News Alert: Entitlement, NOT GREED, Is to Blame Says America’s Everyday Ethics Guy
Enron, Subprime Loans, Madoff Linked to "I Deserve It" Mentality

Naples, FL – As the world economy continues to reel from the U.S. subprime meltdown and corruption America's Everyday Ethics Guy, Vince Crew, claims, "All of this is the result of violating America's fundamental ethical goals of self responsibility, self reliance, and self determination. This whole mess was about unqualified people being given what most work for. Government regulators, legislators, and 'fairness' zealots then rewarded those institutions for their practices. The house of cards has fallen and everyone wants to blame predatory lending rather than entitlement spending."

Crew's book, Everyday Ethics, Everlasting Consequences (avalailable at www.REACHdevelopment.com January, 2008)addresses the entitlement culture and the pressures that tempt us to justify cutting corners to get what we want.

"A growing percentage have sacrificed historically sound principles and turned to handouts, victimization, and abject laziness. Our parents, grandparents, and their parents focused on working hard – saving more – spending less – and taking care of those who depended on them. Over the past fifty years we've resorted to government bailouts, government programs, and every psycho-babble excuse for not owning up to the consequences of our own decisions," according to Crew.

"The repercussions of the trillions of taxpayer dollars emboldens government and abdicates personal responsibility," Crew went on to say.

"Even the Madoff Ponzi scheme was based on willing participants' rationalization that they deserved more of a return on their investments than others. That rationalization is what conmen count on."

"And the ONLY SOLUTION is to allow individuals and companies to succeed or fail based on their efforts to create value. Ours is a country rooted in the value of hard, honest work, not handouts. We have too many standing in line instead of standing on principle."
