Sounds Like Tiger Woods Agrees With Vince Crew When it Comes to Ethics Failures
Naples, FL – “Yesterday’s 14 minute televised apology by the decade’s top athlete summed-up the context of my book, but stopped just short of the final solution to turning around a life, deterring further bad decisions, or making a mends – namely severe consequences,” said Vince Crew responding to the Tiger Woods statement.

Crew is the author of four books. His latest, “Everyday Ethics, Everlasting Consequences” (available at www.REACHdevelopment.com) addresses a number of issues centering on everyday decisions and conduct that can lead to consequences down the road.

Crew said, “I find little solace in it, but Tiger covered the entitlement trap, power trap, money, family damage, the benefit of faith-based instruction when he commented: ‘I felt I deserved to enjoy all the temptations around me. I felt I was entitled. Thanks to money and fame, I didn’t have to go far to find them. I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart... I actively practiced my faith from childhood until I drifted away from it in recent years… Obviously, I lost track of what I was taught.’”

Crew says, “Where he fell short was his indignant response concerning privacy and media scrutiny saying, ‘Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means… But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one's own family.’ The reality is that Tiger has yet to come to terms with the facts that he is ultimately responsible for his family’s breech of privacy. His choices, often in public, led to the public disclosure. His hiding led to the ensuing gossip and invasion. When adults see blanks, they fill them in with the worst possible scenarios.” Tiger’s priorities will dictate the manner, timing, and ultimate outcome to regain any degree of trust from family, sponsors, the industry, and the fans.
